The 12-Hour John McGowan Running Challenge: A Cause Close to Home

On Sunday, the 12-Hour John McGowan Running Challenge brought together runners, cyclists & families, and supporters for an unforgettable day of endurance, generosity, and community spirit.

From 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, participants pushed themselves physically and mentally — all in aid of meaningful local causes.

Running for Infinity Friends 💙

Among those taking part was our Managing Director, Gina, who completed an incredible 60 kilometres over the 12 hours in support of Infinity Friends.

This charity is particularly close to home for Gina, as her son Callum (5) attends the Saturday group at Infinity Friends. Her run was not just a physical challenge, but a deeply personal one, giving back to a service that supports Callum and many other children and families in the community.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and supporters, €3,200 was so far raised through Gina’s run alone.

Making a Lasting Difference

The funds raised through this challenge will go directly towards building a bicycle track at the club, a safe, inclusive space where the children can learn how to cycle, build confidence, and enjoy independence at their own pace.

For many children attending Infinity Friends, learning to cycle can be a significant milestone, and this project will provide the environment and support to make that possible.

An Incredible Collective Effort

The impact of the day went far beyond any single runner.
